Bamileke Traditions and Globalization
This book brings together the findings of the research he undertook on the Bamileke Traditions with the technical assistance of Mr Jason Vaser Elong, anthropologist and writer in the United States of America in St Louis, Missouri. The aim of this book is of solving the following problematics:
- the writing of the main aspects of the Bamileke traditions;
- the search for solutions to protect Bamileke traditions against the risk of disappearance in the face of the influence of globalization on the civilizations of peoples.
The main aspects of the Bamileke traditions that this researcher has studied are the following:
- the origin and socio-political organization of the Bamileke people;
- the religion, the culture and the economy of the Bamileke people;
- proposals to safeguard Bamileke traditions from their disappearance in the face of the influence of globalization.
Mr. Jean Clovis Ouabo, because of his Bamileke origins, has used this advantage to access to the basic information sources that have made it possible to write this book. A teacher by training and former National Pedagogical Inspector, he is also the author of textbooks in tertiary education. He is currently retired and is now interested in anthropology.
